This Privacy Policy explains how GimmyClues ("GimmyClues", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use gimmyclues.com and app.gimmyclues.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. See also our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password, provided when you register.
• Content you create: ideas, prompts, keywords, generated scripts and scenarios, images, narration audio, and video produced through the Service.
• Connected platform information: when you choose to connect a third-party account (Meta/Facebook, Instagram, YouTube/Google, LinkedIn, or TikTok), we receive the account identifiers and access tokens needed to publish content on your behalf, limited to the permissions you grant.
• Communications: messages you send us through the contact form, including your name, email, and message content.
• Usage and analytics data: basic, non-identifying page-view analytics collected via a self-hosted analytics script, used only to understand overall site usage.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and maintain the Service; generate the content you request; let you connect and publish to third-party platforms you authorize; respond to your messages; secure your account; and improve the Service.

3. AI and Third-Party Service Providers

To provide the Service, we share the minimum necessary data with the following categories of third-party processors, solely to perform the task you requested:

• AI content generation: your prompts and source text are sent to large language model providers (such as Anthropic) to generate scripts and scenarios.
• Voice and video generation: text is sent to text-to-speech providers (such as Google's Gemini API) to generate narration audio, and to avatar video providers (such as HeyGen) to generate avatar-based video.
• Transcription: audio may be sent to a transcription provider (such as ElevenLabs) to generate timed transcripts used for captions.
• Email delivery: contact form messages and account emails are delivered via our email providers (Mailjet for the website, Purelymail for the app).

These providers are only permitted to use your data to deliver the specific service requested and not for their own independent purposes.

4. Connecting Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok

The Service lets you optionally connect accounts on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), YouTube/Google, LinkedIn, and TikTok so you can publish generated videos directly. When you connect an account:

• We only request the minimum permissions needed to publish content on your behalf.
• Access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared with any party other than the platform they belong to.
• You can disconnect any connected account at any time from within the Service; this revokes our access going forward.
• Your use of each connected platform remains subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

Google API Services User Data Policy: GimmyClues's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs (including the YouTube Data API, used to look up public video data for content ideas) adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Cookies

We use only the essential session cookie required to keep you signed in to the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting info@gimmyclues.com; we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for a connected platform at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@gimmyclues.com.

8. Data Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Access tokens for connected platforms are encrypted at rest. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, by us or by the third-party providers listed above. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
